Since the suspension ended, Miguel is expected to ride for the team at the upcoming Vuelta a España and a Burgos. The Columbian refused any involvement in drug trafficking or money laundering. Although the investigation is active, Astana Qazaqstan decided to give him a go-ahead. The team made the official announcement stating:

Based on the information received, Astana Qazaqstan Team was advised that in the absence of any finding by either the Spanish authorities or the UCI, it was not in a position to continue the suspension or further deprive the rider of his contractual rights

It continued to add:

Miguel Ángel López is thus provisionally reintegrated as part of Astana Qazaqstan Team and will return to the previously agreed racing plan (Vuelta a Burgos and then Vuelta a España)

It is being speculated that Miguel will be leading the team at  Vuelta a Espana. However, the team states that they hold the right to suspend Miguel again if the police find anything suspicious. The team said that they will not feel hesitant to take any decision in light of the evidence:

Astana Qazaqstan Team has forwarded all the information received to the International Testing Agency, which is in charge of anti-doping investigations on behalf of the UCI. The Team will monitor the situation closely and will not hesitate to take resolute measures depending on the development of the situation

Vuelta a España is expected to start on August 19th, while Vuelta a Burgos is starting today i.e. Tuesday, 2nd August. The five-day race is considered to be a prep up for Vuelta a España.
