Team SD Worx had a strategic approach for the Tour of Flanders, they allowed Chantal van den Broek-Blaak to go berserk in the last 11 kilometers so that Annemiek van Vleuten (Movistar Team) could close the gap with Kopecky. It was an amazing team effort, in the end, Kopecky beat van Vleuten in the end and won the Tour.

After the race, Kopecky said:

It’s quite overwhelming. “I am very thankful to my teammates, this victory is not only for me but for them. Chantal in particular was fantastic.

I know that normally I am faster than Annemiek, but she is also fast after a hard race. You cannot be too confident. But when she couldn’t drop me on the climbs, I knew that I could trust myself. Thanks to Chantal who kept riding, then I could win the sprint.

Kopecky rose to fame with amazing grace and skills and this is just the beginning for her. We cannot wait to see more of the Belgium Champion!
