Vuelta Corsa is a lighter wheelset than the Zerolite. It is designed as an all-day set of wheels to help cyclist train and use for everyday needs. Vuelta Corsa wheels are surprisingly lightweight, so they can be outfitted onto most types of bikes, including trail bikes, mountain bikes, and even cyclocross bikes. However, these wheels may not be suitable for professional use. They are best for training and casual use until you can spend more on a pro-grade wheelset.

The Vuelta Corsa wheels are surprisingly cheap. Most brands retail at around $500 dollars. They also weigh modestly. The Vuelta Corsa SuperLite wheelset, for example, weighs about 1,500 grams, which is decent given that it is comparable to more expensive models. None of the Vuelta Corsa wheels are ultra light, but you get the best weight for the price you pay. Also, these wheels are quite amazingly built with many features that the price does not necessarily reflect.

The standout features on these wheelset models include “V” shaped profiles, machined braking tracks, diminutive front hubs and ball bearings made in Japan. The rear wheels usually come with freehub rachets. Some models have endcaps that can be removed with an Allen key. Spokes are stainless steel bladed generic ones. Most wheels also come with graphics printed on vinyl stickers. You can expect quick releases too. Overall, these are solid specs for the super low price you have to pay.

Performance wise, these wheels are decent. They can gain speed quickly and start accelerating even on hilly terrain. Just don’t expect super fast or ultra aero features like you would with a Zipp or a Campag. Notably, Vuelta Corsa wheels sport lateral stiffness that is quite above average. Overall, these specs blend into a really reliable and solid performer.
