Forza Cirrus Pro Review

Forza Cirrus Pro wheel is a component arm of bestselling 4ZA Ridley bikes. The Cirrus Pro range is designed to offer you a choice of racing day wheels. The wheels are designed to maximize their aerodynamic performance per weight to give you the best wheels come race day. These wheels are hand built in Belgium. They are not what you might call outstanding, but they offer the best value for the price. The all-around tub set is quite excellent considering the price.

The carbon rims are 50mm deep and are designed in a high modulus pattern. They are traditionally when it comes to width, but are gently rounded in a very unconventional and contemporary manner. While the performance of these wheels may be modest, build quality is not. The build is quite excellent and is comparable to high-end brands like Shimano and Campag. The wheels have high-end Sapim CX-Ray aero spokes as well to improve aerodynamics performance. Upon testing, these spokes do not exhibit any tension loss or tracking problems.

The freehub is quick, which means that the wheels are quite adept at taking corners. But control is not that superb. Braking is solid; it’s the usual you get for carbon wheels of this size and price range. Brakes are quite controllable and have respectable stopping power around the corners. Weight is around 1,700 grams so it’s not lightweight, but it’s not overly weighty either. For around $1,000, these wheels deliver quite spectacularly. If you are on a strict budget, forgo everything and go for a set of these wheels.

+Pros:

  • Maximum aerodynamic performance
  • Great for racing
  • Good at turning corners

-Cons:

  • Not very lightweight

The Verdict

Forza Cirrus Pro is an excellent set of racing wheels to own.

If you are aiming for superior aerodynamic performance, these wheels will deliver.
