Cannondale Tango Review
This was one that we had a lot of fun reviewing. The Cannondale Tango is a series of bikes made by Cannondale especially for women. It is made to accommodate the slightly different skeletal and muscular structure of a female rider.
We got the bike and immediately noticed the hardtail Tango had a pretty low standover height, which made it easy to use for leisure biking, commuting in the city, or even for sport. The versatility was something we immediately welcomed in the Tango. It makes use of an Aluminum 6061 alloy frame, which has SAVE micro suspension technology built into the rear.
What this meant was that the hard tail didn’t bother us in the slightest, especially with the Suntour XCT fork with 80mm travel in the front. The wheels, which were 650b with WTB tires, were a delight when it came to control, especially on tight turns or bumpy trails.
One bad thing we noticed was that the bottom bracket tended to be too low to the ground on some of the rougher tracks. However, the power offered by the Shimano drivetrain and the comfort of the Ergo XC saddle more than made up for this.
- Decent price range
- Great control
- Low standover height
- Made for women
- Alloy frame and wheels
- Mechanical disc brakes

- Bottom bracket was a little low
- Doesn’t fit normal bike rack straps
- A little heavy
The perfect bike for a woman to use in a variety of situations whether recreational, professional or for fitness.
We loved checking the Cannondale Tango out, and would ride it over and over again. While you might want to avoid the really rough trails on this mountain bike, it is still perfect for a huge range of scenarios!
