Fuji Altamira Review

Fuji Altamira is quite a renowned bike model. This brand has been on several Tour de France competitions. So imagine our delight when we got to review this model.

The bikes we got shimmered in the sunlight, literally. The carbon frameset certainly looks good. After taking Altamira bikes for several spins, we can confidently say that this model performs well as well. The model has a thick head tube, quite a stuff fork and a down tube that is huge and rounded. The design ensures rigidity, so the bikes are very responsive on the road.

The seatstays and toptubes are flattened so comfort when riding is quite exceptions. Comfort is important for road bikes, as we love to take these on long rides. The Altamira seats are comfortable than on most other models. We have ridden several Specialized bikes and we can say that when it comes to comfort, Altamira takes a top spot.

The specs on this model are quite impressive too. This model comes with Shimano Ultegra shifter and deraillleurs and Oval cranks. The components, when takes apart, each don’t cost much. By taking this approach, Fuji has cut down on the overall price of the model. But, on the downside, the components add significant amounts of weight.

+Pros:

  • Good looking and capable frameset
  • Top-of-the-line specs
  • Affordable price for a road bike

-Cons:

  • Components add weight

The Verdict

Fuji Altamira bikes are exceptionally capable and come with top-notch spec combinations.

Despite the high-end performance, the price is relatively affordable compared to other branded bikes with similar specs. Fuji Altamira is a speedy road ride, even if the model is a bit weighty compared to similar brands.
