Bike Spoke Length Calculator

Estimate spoke length from ERD, hub flange, flange offset, spoke count, and crossing pattern.

Use this spoke length calculator to estimate spoke length before ordering parts for a wheel build. The result depends on accurate rim ERD, hub flange diameter, center-to-flange distance, spoke count, and lacing pattern.

Measure before ordering

Small measurement errors can produce the wrong spoke length, especially on deep rims or unusual hubs. Use the rim maker ERD as a starting point, then confirm it if you can measure the rim directly.

After building or changing a wheel, check tire fit and rollout with the rim width to tire size chart, wheel circumference calculator, and bike tire pressure calculator. For tubeless wheels, use the tubeless sealant calculator.

Build caution

This tool gives a calculated starting point. Wheel building still needs even tension, correct dish, and stress relief. If the wheel is for heavy cargo, e-bike use, or rough winter riding, get the build checked by a wheel builder.
