Shimano RS010 Review
Shimano has been the reigning champion when it comes to manufacturing bike components. Of course, this does come with the downside of having to shell out a considerable amount of money for their wheelsets. This is not always an option for many people. If you are one such cyclist, take heart because, with the Shimano RS010, you are about to get your chance.
Now, you should be under no allusion. This is a heavy wheelset and there is no denying that. It is well over 1800g and certainly rides like it. Due to this, there are certain restrictions that are placed on the abilities of the RS010. For instance, you are better off sticking to training or commuting with the wheelset than anything else.
That being said, you do get to experience a quality ride with the RS010. It has a really nice solid feel and is definitely comfortable as well as durable. This is one of the reasons that it is great for a daily commute as you can head out onto some bad road and really not feel the aftereffects. While not overly responsive, you will not have any trouble managing this wheelset.
One of the greatest features of this wheelset is the overall stiffness. You don’t have to deal with any flex at all, even when you push the wheelset a bit. While heading uphill is a bit of a challenge due to the weight, the stiffness does help with this.

Although not the best, the RS010 is still a great accompaniment to your bike.
