GT Nomad Review
More than anything, the GT Nomad is a bike that makes you want to roam free through the world. We realized this as soon as we stepped on it. The bike features the trademark GT triple triangle design for its frame, made out of a 6061 aluminum alloy that has some pretty neat and smooth welds.
The frame is complemented by an SR Suntour fork with 63 mm of travel along with a hydraulic lockout. It makes use of a nice Shimano gear set, including the M191 and the Altus RD-M310. Shifting was smooth and didn’t give us any problems at all.
The chain set on this bike is also from SR Suntour, and the brakes are mechanical disc brakes that have 160mm rotors for high stopping power. We honestly didn’t notice much wrong with the bike, other than the fact that the pedals and the front wheel don’t really have much distance between them, so people wearing long skirts need to be a little more cautious.

The Verdict
A women’s bike that is perfect for a variety of different purposes, this one is going to serve you well if you are a commuter in the city – it is fast and responsive with the ability to go off the smooth roads with ease.
The GT Nomad does have its issues, but it is a very solid and reliable bike overall. Definitely one we were able to fall in love with, after it had been given time to grow on us.
