Focus Raven Review

When we got onto the sleek carbon fiber frame of the Focus Raven, we were delighted with it. It worked like an absolute charm, and kept us in the perfect position to be right between the two wheels. The front of the bike is a little slack in terms of the angle, which allowed for a far more responsive ride.

This was especially true when we tried our hand at climbing with it. The fork is one of the best parts of this bike, with the 100mm Fox 32 Float Evo fork being capable of switching between 3 different types of damping for different uses of the bike.

This can be switched using a very handy little gadget right at the rider’s hands. In addition to all this, the frame of the bike is very aggressively shaped. It’s perfect for downhill riding because of the way it is designed. From the tapered steerer to the fat down tube and stem, this is a bike that we don’t have much to complain about.

+Pros:

  • Amazing design of frame
  • Lovely fork design
  • Easy to switch damping
  • Tapered steering assembly

-Cons:

  • Could have used a shorter stem

The Verdict

The Focus Raven is an amazing entry level bike that can be used by just about anyone even if you’re a professional rider. It is a nice change from the scarier bikes.

We had a great time reviewing the Focus Raven, and we figured that it was one of the best entry level bikes that we have reviewed to date. Absolutely outstanding in every regard, this was something we loved beyond belief.
