Diamondback Lux Review

We saw the Diamondback Lux and we were hooked almost immediately. After hearing a ton of positive reviews for this bike, we decided to check it out ourselves. We were not disappointed. The bike makes use of a durable, firm Aluminum 6061 frame that is complemented by a Suntour XCT fork and front suspension.

We immediately noticed just how well the Lux would smooth out the bumpiest trails and turn grating landings into bouncing on air. Riding these rough trails wasn’t a problem either, as the responsive 21 speed Shimano derailleurs and shifters cycled through in an instant, with very short transition times too!

When it came to the sudden stops that are all too common on the trails, the Tektro NOVELA disc braking system gave us feather-light sensitivity and immense amount of stopping power. We were also incredibly pleased with the lightness of the bike overall, allowing us to be super agile, carry it up flights of stairs with ease, and enjoy the Kenda Dual Sport tires with the durability of alloy rims without impeding our ride.

The icing on the cake, though, is definitely the WTB Divine Edition saddle that comes on the Lux bike. It is designed ergonomically for the body of a woman, providing massive comfort on the longest of rides. Overall, this was a bike that we were happy to “review” over and over again, merely so we could get back in the saddle.

+Pros:

  • Amazing saddle
  • Durable frame and wheels
  • Great brakes
  • Smooth ride overall
  • Lightweight frame
  • Responsive shifters

-Cons:

  • Mid to high end pricing

The Verdict

Smooth, incredible rides with little to no issues and the epitome of comfort throughout on the Diamondback Lux.

From the lovely control to the smoothness of the ride and the power of the bike, the Diamondback Lux was a true pleasure to review. We don’t come across great bikes often, but this is one that every woman needs to check out!
