Colnago World Cup Review
When we took a look at the Colnago World Cup, we expected the best and we got it (or something very close to it). The slightly-heavy bike had a gorgeous Selle Italia saddle that was well-padded for the bumpier downhill tails of the world.
The frame of the bike was stiff, firm and didn’t budge an inch on any of the trails that we tried it on. The Shimano 105 drivetrain worked really well with the rest of the bike, soaking up the bumps and providing us with great power transmission on the go.
At some points when the bike has to be carried, there is a big problem with the weight, as it weighs over 10kg when shouldered. This can be problematic if you want to get somewhere fast while getting dirty in the process.
However, the 105 groupset more than made up the time that we took carrying the bike around by providing fast, controlled acceleration till we got where we needed to go.

The Verdict
The World Cup is a trail bike that is made for the harsh country, and can go down the muddiest trails with ease – definitely a bike for the professional trail rider in you.
While we had a ton of fun reviewing the Colnago World Cup, it did have its quirks, one of the biggest of which was the weight. However, this didn’t hurt us nearly as much as we thought it would, especially when we factored in the quality of the actual ride.
